תיאור

Letter or official report in Arabic script. The upper ~8 lines are preserved. Refers multiple times to a district (nāḥiya) called ىىىان (Baysān?) and refers from travel from that place to the district (nāḥiya) of Jālūt (= ʿAyn Jālūt?). Contains phrases such as "wa-naḥnu fī l-ṭarīq .... khamsa aw sitta [...] ʿuṣāh.... min Banī Wāʾil fī l-darb al-sulṭānī" (the Sultan's Highway). The word قتلوا ("they killed / were killed") appears at the end of the bottom line. Might be about getting ambushed by rebels from the Banū Wāʾil tribe. Needs examination.
