Upper part of a long vertical letter. In Judaeo-Arabic. Dating: probably 12th or 13th century. Addressed to a notable. Reporting something about Furayj al-Bayyāʿ; couriers; shops; some people demanding 10 pounds of something; 2 dirhams and a chicken; shopkeepers closing their shops (going on strike?); the phrase "if the elder sent even the littlest boy (or: the most insignificant person) requesting our children, we would bring them to him"; someone not eating cheese; and the couriers again. The continuation is missing and most of the context is unclear.
