Letter in the hand of Ḥalfon b. Netanʾel ha-Levi. In Judaeo-Arabic. Quite faded. He excuses the messiness with the fact that he is writing this in the aftermath of an illness and while traveling (עלקת הדה אלאחרף עלי . . . . .ואעקאב מרץ אלי חצרה מולאי וסידי וסנדי ואלדכירה לאבדי אטאל אללה בקאה ואדאם עלוה וסנאה ורפעתה וארתקאה . . .). Most of what remains appears to bemoan the vicissitudes of fate. The margins have of verso been reused for something else in Hebrew script.
