Partial transcription: ان الواصل اليك بهذه الخدمة الشيخ حكيم(؟) وهو من الاصحاب وقد ذكر ان عنده موضع مشغول فان كنت تعرف ان صاحبك الذي في القاهرة صحيح فاطلع فاحضر صحبته تروحا وتشتغلا على مصلح ان تعمل وتقبل لي ايادي الحاج عمر(؟) وتقول له يجهز لي تلك الفلوس فان الحاجة امهم قد دعت والسلام عليك . . . الحاج . . . ويا حاج محمد ان كان صاحبك . . . Verso: Letter in Arabic script in a different hand. Mentions "I have a friend named ʿUmar."
