תיאור

Draft or copy of a legal document. Filling both sides of the folio. Location: Cairo. Dated: Friday, 26 Tevet 154[.] Seleucid = 1228–38 CE (and probably 1546 or 1547, corresponding to 1234–36 CE). Involves al-Rayyis Abū l-Ghayth Yeshuʿa b. Hayya (האיי) ha-Levi ha-Sar, who it seems sells half of his house located in New Cairo on 'the blessed canal' (al-khalīj al-mubārak) to his son Abū l-Fadāʾil Efrayim ha-Levi ha-Sar. The property and its boundaries are described. Cf. T-S AS 147.222 (PGPID 16373).
