Deed of acknowledgment (iqrār). In Arabic script. The muqirr is Murhaf b. Fāris al-Dawla Nushtakīn "one of the greats of the Ḥāfiẓī regiment" (احد الحافظية الكبار). He acknowledges owing a sum of dirhams to Ṣafiyy al-Dawla(?) Abū Manṣūr Ṭalāʾiʿ b. Gharīb(?)b. Jaʿfar al-Kātib. The sum is not immediately clear; it is named in the lacuna at the beginning of l. 6 (a thousand and something?), and other figures are named in l. 10. The declaration was made before the deputy of the wazīr(?) (النائب في الحكم للوزير(؟)) the qāḍī Thiqat al-Dawla(?). He will repay the sum on Saturday, 20 Rajab 550 AH = 19 September 1155 CE. The document itself was written some time earlier in Rajab of the same year. On verso there are additional notations in Arabic script (likely notations for the receipt of money as it starts with قبض) and a magical text in Hebrew and Judaeo-Arabic, in a familiar hand.
