Barhūn […] al-Mumḥe (i.e., the well-known Sahlān b. Avraham) as cantor and leader of the (Babylonian) community (…لهم يصلي بهم ويتقدم عليهم…), also as authority over ‘their marriages and divorces,’ citing all of his good traits ( صيانته ومعرفته etc.).
