תיאור

Letter in Judaeo-Arabic to Hananya ha-Kohen from "his son" (younger brother?) Abu l-Ḥasan. After a flattering introduction, the body of the letter begins about halfway down the page. He reports that were it not for the Shaykh Abū l-Faḍl al-Dāʿī, he would have been in trouble (?) (קטע אמרנה = אמרנא) over 2.5 dinars. He was imprisoned for one day until Abu Saʿīd al-Tinnīsī bailed him out on Friday night. Abu l-Ḥasan begs Hananya to send him his circumcision knife without delay (ולו כ/א/נת חצרתה חצרה למא גרי עלינא פי הדה אלסנה מן אל]. . .] לכאן קד קצד פי אמרנה וכמל עלי אצחבנה די ונצ מכל(?) אמר ולולה אלשיך אבו אלפצל אלדאעי קטע אמרנה עלי דינארין ונצף בעד אן חבסת יום וצמנני אבו סעיד אל . . . אלתניסי ואכרגני לילה אלסבת וקד כנת קבל דלך תרסל לנא כתוב נתשרף בהא ולאכן אלעדיבה כאנת עלי אלאב ואלאם קל וחומר אולא אלאך פלא תדעני וכיסה וקא/ל/ מא ירצה יכתב לה רקעה ואנה קאצד לחצרה מולאי פי אן ינעם עליה בסכינה אלכתאן מע מן אתפק ולא יבכל עליה בהא . . . ). He sends regards to his father Abū Naṣr, to Abū l-Ḥasan and Abū l-Khayr and Abū Saʿīd and his cousin. Abu Manṣūr and his son send their regards. ASE.
