Letter from Yaʿaqov b. Aharon ha-Kohen to the parnas ʿEli b. Ḥayyim ha-Kohen (Abū l-Ḥasan ʿAllūn b. Yaʿīsh). It is a letter of recommendation for the bearer, who was well-off (min ahl al-satr) but who has fallen victim to the depredations of fate, and who is worthier than others to receive charity. The writer sends regards to the addressee's son Abū Kathīr, also a parnas.
