Recto: The lower part of a letter mostly in Arabic (concluding blessings in Hebrew and Judaeo-Arabic) from a parent to a son. The addressee is asked to obtain a nice kerchief (mandīl malīḥa) for somebody for the holiday. "And know, my son, that I have divorced(!) the world and sought the side of God the blessed and exalted. My son, I request of you never to neglect your siblings, do not allow them to become dependent on anybody, and gladden their hearts as much as you are able."
