תיאור

Legal document (maḥḍar) in Arabic script, in a very elegant chancery-esque hand. The testimony concerns the deceased Khalaf al-Yahūdī al-Dimyāṭī al-Ḥarīrī. It mentions the year 518 AH = 1124/25 CE. Mentions the names Abū ʿAlī and Bu Shuʿayb(?). Needs further examination. Reused on recto for technical calendrical notations: abbreviations, followed by a note in a different hand defining a (lunar) year: 354 days, 8 hours, 815 minutes. (Information from CUDL)
