In the name of God, the merciful and compassionate.
A valid receipt has been granted to ʾAbū al-Ḥasan ibn Wahb for the sum owed through his standing surety for the estates in the town of al-Fayyūm
in the year four-hundred and four, under the supervision of the auspicious, rightly-guided judge,
Ṯiqat al-Mulk Makīn al-Dawla wa-ʾAmīnuhā, the protégé of the commander of the faithful,
ʾAbū al-Ḥasan ʿAlī ibn Bahār, with ʾAbū al-Sarī
Theodor ibn Yuḥannis acting as accountant.
Half of this: A sixth and a qīrāṭ ( = a twenty-fourth). Its amount: A third and two qīrāṭs (= a twelfth).
Written by Mīḵāʾīl ibn ʿAbd al-Masīḥ, the cashier. Valid. The seventh of Ṣafar,
in the year four-hundred and four.
