Receipt issued for the khuzzān of the Fayyūm tax districts against revenue delivered by Abū l-Ḥasan b. Wahb. Dated: 3 Dhū l-Ḥijja 403 AH (1013 CE). Amount: one-sixth and one-eighth (Khan reads six and one-eighth). Written by the jahbadh Mīkhāʾīl b. ʿAbd al-Masīḥ. Measurements: 8.6 × 8.7 cm. The verso is blank.

- In the name of God, the merciful and compassionate.
- A valid receipt has been granted to the [warehouse-keeper] in the province of
- al-Fayyūm on behalf of ʾAbū al-Ḥasan ibn Wahb the estate-manager for the year four-hundred and three, under the supervision of the auspicious, rightly-guided judge, Ṯiqat al-Mulk Makīn al-Dawla wa-ʾAmīnuhã, the protégé of the commander of the faithful,
- ʾAbū al-Ḥasan ʿAlī ibn Bahār, with ʾAbū al-Sarī Theodor ibn Yuḥannis acting as accountant.
- Half of this: Two qirāts (= a twelfth) and a sixteenth. Its amount: A sixth and an eighth.
- Written by Mīḵāʾīl ibn ʿAbd al-Masīḥ, the cashier. Valid. The third of Ḏū al-Ḥijja, in the year four-hundred and three.
