Legal document headed "memorandum of testimony" (tadhkirat shahāda). The court convened in the synagogue; present were Bū l-ʿAlāʾ b. al-Wathīq and Sulaymān al-Ṣāʾigh, who negotiated at length concerning a quarter of a house; someone's daughter; and small sums of dirhams. Dated: Last decade of Shevaṭ [5]141 AM = January 1381 CE, though this is quite difficult to read and interpret. For instance, if the scribe wrote ק and corrected it to ה (which it looks a little more like, despite the presence of a descender), then this would date to January 1281 CE. The hand is reminiscent of Maimonides but isn't him. (Information in part from CUDL.)
