Tax receipt issued to Abū l-Ḥasan b. Wahb for his ḍamān on dyeing in Madīnat al-Fayyūm. Dated: 24 Ṣafar 405 (Khan reads 27 Ṣafar 405 AH). This receipt was written, exceptionally, by Yuḥannā b. Mīkhāʾīl, the son of the jahbadh who wrote most of the receipts in the corpus, Mīkhāʾīl b. ʿAbd al-Masīḥ (see also T-S Ar.30.40, PGPID 8180). Registered by the Dīwān al-ʿAmal, but not by the Dīwān al-Ishrāf. Payment made under the supervision of three officials: (1) under the supervision of the auspicious, rightly guided qāḍī Thiqat al-Mulk Makīn al-Dawla wa-Amīnuhā, protégé of the Commander of the Faithful, Abū l-Ḥasan ʿAlī b. Nahār; and (2) in the presence of Ṣafī al-Dawla ʿAbd al-Majīd b. Ḥasan on behalf of the Bureau of Supervision; and (3) (under) the tax accounting of the elder Sadīd al-Dawla Abū l-Faraj ʿAbd al-Masīḥ b. Qūrīl. The verso is blank. Measurements: 12.4 × 8.3 cm
