The portion preserved here: ארים קול ולא אירא / בן אדם מה עוצמה שאתו ישתרר על אריה בחניתו יך פרעוש גם כינים בחמתו ונמלים ירמוס בהליכתו / געה שור ויצעק שמעו לי מה פשעי לאיש או מה מעלי כי חנם הכביד מטות עלי Translation: I raise my voice and am not afraid. "How great is man's haughtiness: he rules over the lion with his spear, he strikes the fleas and the lice in his wrath, and he tramples the ants as he walks." The ox bellowed and cried, "Listen to me! How have I wronged or sinned against man that for no cause he has weighed down my yoke?" Other copies of the same poem can be found in Bodl.
