Legal document(s). In the hand of Ḥalfon b. Menashshe. Recto and verso are distinct documents, but related. They concern a rent agreement between Sitt al-Nās (the lessor) and Abū l-Ḥasan ʿAlī (the lessee / mustaʾjir). It is possible that these are the same family members of ʿArūs b. Yosef who appear together in T-S NS 224.38 (PGPID 24044), but this is uncertain. Recto: The body of the document refers to the year 531 AH = September 1136 – August 1137 CE. Mentions a regular (monthly?) payment of 10 dirhams. Signed by Moshe b. Yaʿaqov ha-Kohen and Zakkay b. Moshe. Verso: The body of the document refers to the year 533 AH = September 1138 – September 1139 CE. It also refers to a period of three years, so the 533 date is probably the end of the 3-year lease. The document itself is dated the last third of Shevaṭ 1448 Seleucid = January 1136 CE. Signed by Ḥalfon b. Menashshe and by ʿEli b. Menashshe ha-Kohen he-Ḥaver. OZ/ASE
