The duality of the noun "aʿdāʾhuma" (line 3) suggests that it is addressed to two people, the first name ends with[..] al-Dawla, and the second is referred to as al-Shaykh al-Jalīl.

In Arabic script. Quite faded. The ends of 5 lines are preserved. Mentions that a certain ʿāmil is more capable than somebody else (aqdar minhu) and then mentions "the lofty order" (al-amr al-ʿālī).

On the other side there is the end of a scroll with Hebrew text about the temple sacrifices.

Including a raʾy clause. There are endorsements (or drafts of formulaic phrases?) in faded ink between the lines; these have not been edited here.

Account recording the receipt of various consignments of dates measured in wayba and irdabb. Some entries have been crossed through. People mentioned include al-Wakīl al-Kabīr; al-Sharīf; the ghulām of ʿAbdallāh.
The payment was 1 dinar. The entire date is difficult to read, but the year seems like 517 H.
Recto: End of a legal document in Arabic script. Only the witness signatures are preserved.
Possibly accounts, but could also be calendrical reckoning or something else. The entries are arranged in four columns. The letters are written individually (and rarely form words), possibly serving as abbreviations or codes.

Commercial and/or dār account. There are many entries for specific dates (505 AH?) and mentioning amounts received on those dates, which makes it seem mercantile.
The payment seems to be only 1/2 dinar for an entire year (572 AH?). Needs further examination.

Parts of 4 lines from the end are preserved, then a huge space, then a basmala and a new section (this might be a different document that was glued on).
In the margin there are pen trials and/or endorsements, one of them referring to 'al-ḥaḍra al-ʿāliya al-shaykhiyya.'
Very deferential. Almost the entirety of the letter consists of greetings and good wishes, and the writer says that he is constantly asking Abū Zikrī about the health of the addressee.
