Fragment from the end of a legal document. In Hebrew. On parchment.
Receipt. Miniature (cf. ENA NS 83.413). Includes the glyph, payer's name, date, and the sum written in words and in Greek/Coptic numerals.
On recto a late engagement (shiddukhin) deed. Groom: Shabbetay b. Yeshuʿa.
Late records in Hebrew, perhaps of a court: one entry is a copy of a legal testimony. But the rest seems to be more like accounts, so perhaps it is a private copy of a legal testimony.
Marginal notes in Judaeo-Arabic on top of an almost entirely effaced literary text in Hebrew. One says "al-Ḥākim bi-Amr Allāh" and another "he disappeared after a few days."
Mentions Avr[aham] and there is probably enough text here to determine the genre of legal record through further examination.
Reporting that the writer has sent 3 dinars and urging the rapid sending of something (a horse? looks like فرس, end of line 7).

Fragment of a letter addressed to a dignitary and his entire community. In Hebrew. A few words from ~12 lines are preserved.
Secondary use: Letter in Judaeo-Arabic consisting entirely of a cryptic recipe or set of instructions involving safflower (ʿuṣfur), a board (lawḥ), a switch (miqraʿa), and cotton (quṭn).

Continues on verso, mentioning more names and ending with a ḥamdala.

Unusual tabular format. Distinct entries are headed by the word حط or خط with an elongated horizontal line.

A few names appear in the account entries on the verso: Menaḥem Zalmānī[?] and Yiṣḥaq ___[?].
The preserved portion consists entirely of praises in an elevated register.
One of the horoscopes predicts something about a dark woman with pimples (bathr) on her face and getting enchanted (wa-lā budd lahu an yusḥar bi-siḥr).
Fragment from the bottom of a deed of acknowledgment (iqrār), with part of a witness signature preserved. Dated: end of Dhū l-Qaʿda 610 AH = April 1214 CE. Unclear if any of the details are preserved.
Possibly a letter of praise. Consists almost entirely of poetical Hebrew phrases. At the bottom there is the writer's name: Kalev b.
Communal ledger fragment, part of a much broader chain of joins discovered by Dotan Arad (See PGPID 9952). Dated in variety of entries, for example Shevat 5354 (January-February 1594 CE).
Dated: Sunday, 2 Nisan 5626 AM = 18 March 1866 CE. Presumably entered Gaster's collection directly from Romania rather than via the Geniza.
Verso: Addendum of a letter from a judge in Fustat to his wife in Alexandria, encouraging her to buy a robe and advising her about the travel back and other matters.
On reused paper containing vestiges of enormous Arabic script in red ink (most visible on Image 2).

Gil may have only edited the lower fragment (but confusingly called it ENA 2805.7a).
A large piece of fibrous string is visible on the recto, perhaps fused onto ENA 2853.27 from another fragment's binding.
Verso: Accounts in Arabic, badly damaged. Medieval-era. Entries begin with quantities owed by different people: bi-yad Masʿūd... bi-yad Makārim....
Note in the volume at JTS says these two pages were detached from one another in 1965. May be related to ENA 3924.11.
Business accounts in a cursive hand, probably that of ʿArūs b. Yosef. Some of the entries are descriptive (" I bought for so and so, such and such for this price).
Menashshe (fl. 1100-1138 CE). See ENA NS 77.33 (PGPID 4553).
It appears that the writer is trying to encourage and console the recipents in difficult times.
Wide space between the lines, ends with yeshaʿ rav. Mentions a dinar that Barakāt took.
Recto: Small fragment of an Arabic state document. The ends of two lines are preserved: انه كان . . . السامية حرس الله ايامها.
This JRL folder is mostly or entirely 18th-century and 19th-century accounts.
There is one line in Hebrew (a phrase from an end of a letter): adonenu ve-shelomkha yigdal laʿad.
