Accounts in Judaeo-Arabic. Dated along the right border Kislev-Sivan 5390 AM (1629 CE).
Large and well preserved. Needs examination. Alt description: Fragment, recto, and verso both contain what look like pen trials (some repetitions, abusive ligatures, no lines but broken up words and phrases).
Only the address and a fairly formulaic opening are preserved ('all that delayed (wakhkhara) my letters to you was fate and its calamities').
Letter from Yeshuʿa al-Qarawī 'the supervisor (mushārif) of the Qaysariyya,' in Sunbāṭ, to Shelomo ha-Sar ha-Nadiv.
Recto with address on verso: Letter from a woman (ʿammat al-dayyān) to her brother-in-law. In Judaeo-Arabic.
Mentions 25 qinṭārs of something and ginger (zanjabīl); and coming down from the dīwān. Indirect join: Alan Elbaum.
Mentions David Revaḥ and possibly someone with the surname Ben-Zikrī, although these could be patronymics b. Zikrī. Part of the address is extant on the verso but solely comprises the recipient's honorifics.
Dated 24 Nissan below the main section of text, possibly with a two-alphanumeral year. The latter part of the date is unclear in meaning, but likely falls in the 15th- or 16th-century based on the paleography.
At least one name is visible on the recto: ʿAlī Çelebi. The accounts continue on the verso.
On the last page contains the interesting stipulation that if you are in Ereṣ Yisraʾel then the date should be from the destruction of the Temple, and if you are in al-Ramla then the date should be from the exile of Yehoyakhin.
One of the parties resorted to the Muslim courts ("al-goyim"). The sum at stake is a matter of 12 dinars.
Involving Abū l-Surūr Peraḥya b. Kathīr al-Ḥalabī, Salāma, and perhaps a partnership with 17 dinars.
The sender complains about isolation (al-wiḥda wa-l-inqiṭāʿ) and is anxious for the addressee to give an update about something.
1 Transcription
The words 'fi-s-safina' (in the ship) and 'al-miyah' (the waters) are legible. Another line was written at the bottom of this fragment upside down to the rest of the text.
The first line contains a name which is not very legible but is followed by "al-Yahūdī".
The writer asks Abū Isḥāq to obtain for (?bi-rasm) Abū l-ʿAlā' a piece of fabric of high quality (jayyid rafīʿ) and close weave (ṣafīq) with the pattern (?
Draft of the beginning of a letter from an unidentified person addressed to his or her mother al-Ḥurra and his or her sister Jawhara. In a late-ish, crude hand.
One is for a document involving Sitt al-Ahl bt. Avraham ha-Levi and her husband Manṣūr b.
On verso, written in various directions, there are five discrete addenda with attestations, all beginning "aʿrafa" and referring to the content of the main document on recto.

Each side begins "idhā...." Verso ends "wa-llāhu aʿlam." The content is difficult to read but refers to winds, storms, ships, wheat, and children.
The donor is Yosef b. Aharon kown as al-Ghazzi, and the date is Marḥeshvan 1411 Sel.
Aharon ha-Kohen, with a lengthy Hebrew opening. Mentions Abū ʿAlī. It continues in the right-hand margin, where a final sentence mentioning Abū Zikrī has been added with a different pen.

Letter sent to Cairo to the house of a ḥaver from the Ibn Qaṭāʾif family, dated Friday, middle of Shevat, describing the writer’s anger over the lack of letters from the addressees. Mentions Khalaf b. al-Nagid and Barqa. (Information from CUDL)
Order of payment issued by Abū Zikrī Kohen to his banker, Abū l-Khayr Khiyyār, instructing him to pay on account of the household of Amīn al-Dawlā 100 dinars. Dated Av 1451 (= 1140 CE).
Each page is headed with someone's name, e.g., Barakāt, al-Shaykh Dāʾūd, and Abū Saʿd. Underneath various transactions in dirhams are documented
Khalīfa b. [ ] acknowledges the payment of the debt of 4 and 1/2 dirhams to Bū Saʿīd al-Isrāʾīlī.
The format is notable: written in a narrow column, with the width of the margin almost equal to the width of the text. The writer mentions that he has heard that the addressee will be coming into Fustat 'for the treatment of a patient.'
Business letter in Judaeo-Arabic and Arabic in Arabic script about the sale of silk, flax, olive oil and other commodities. Alludes to "the calamities" which are in "these letters" (bi-hādhihi l-kutub āfāt).
The sender says he has been a burden on somebody (al-Raḍiyy?) and asks the addressee for help obtaining a new something.
