Description

Will, nearly complete. Written on a small piece of parchment. Testator: Abū al-Faraj b. Maʿrūf the perfumer. (His son Faḍāʾil appears in Yevr.-Arab. I 1700.29 (PGPID 9417) several decades later.) Location: Fustat. Dated: middle decade of Ṭevet 1441 Seleucid = 1129/30 CE. Abū l-Faraj gives to his wife her ketubba, trust, and control of the household goods (specifically mentioning the house in Zuqāq al-Turmus) and her children's inheritance. Written and signed by Natan b. Shelomo ha-Kohen; no other signature. RR. ASE.
