Description

Recto, lower right corner: draft of a state document, likely a petition, beginning with prayers for the caliph al-Mustanṣir. There may be part of a request preserved in the final line. Margins of recto and all of verso: chancery scribal exercises, repeating the phrase "li-yakhruj al-ḥāl bi-dhālika in shāʾ allāh" (ليخرج الحال بذلك ان شا الله) ad infinitum. Cf. ENA 3919.3 (PGPID 39685) for the same phrase in context.
