Description

Letter fragment to a brother conveying good wishes. The addressee is apparently an accomplished cantor and had studied with a notable and "his brother the late Nagid." He is asked to provide coaching for an aspiring cantor Zākī, who must go to the synagogue every Saturday and on feast days. (Information in part from Mediterranean Society, II, p. 36.)
