Description

Official report, probably. First four lines. The sender reports that when his group approached the gardens/fields (basātīn) there remained a good hour of distance between them and the city. A man belonging to the entourage of the amīr [...] al-Dīn Ṭāsh Takīn then appeared. . . . The continuation is missing. There is a Mujīr al-Dīn Ṭāshtakīn known from historical chronicles (amīr of the Iraqi ḥājj pilgrims in the late 12th / early 13th century), but the word before Dīn here doesn't seem to be Mujīr. Reused on verso for accounts in Arabic script and Greek/Coptic numerals, mentioning quantities (arṭāl) of commodities.
