Description

Verso: Draft of a petition in Arabic script, addressed to a lower official. The petitioners raise a dispute regarding a synagogue (kanīsa). They are barred from entering and using it and ask that a decree for the same be issued from the al-majlis al-karīm. Needs examination.

  1. المماليك يقبلو الارض وهو ينهوا ان لهم بالمحلة كنيسة خرابة وهي تجمع شملهم

  3. وان [[تمادا الحال الى حد وكان]] لما تصوروا الى المقام العالي

  4. ومنع لهم عمارة الكنيسة المذكورة  [[المماليك يقبلو الارض]] وما الحكم للمماليك

  5. التصرف في عمارة الا بعد توقيع المجلس الكريم لا زال ….

  6. والمماليك يسلون الانعام عليهم بحجة(؟) المجلس(؟) العالي(؟) الى القاضي ال . . .

  7. ….في هذين وال… المكان عمارته انعاما عليهم

  8. احسانا اليهم
