Description

Recto: Perhaps a letter or brief legal document? Very faded. Verso: A record of the amount of money (35 silver [medin]) received from Eliyyahu Nābī(?) for the rent of a tabqa property in Ḥārat al-Ṣaqālibah for the month of Av in 1784 CE (5544 AM). The third line notes that the payment is connected to the communal "chest of the Mus[ʿarabīm]", indicating that the property may have been part of the qodesh. The name of the communal official who collected the rent may be underneath: Moshe Refa'el Hayyim Efron (?). For another possible instance of the surname Nābī(?), see: T-S AS 205.97 (PGPID 22744).
