Description

Recto: State document, probably a petition or internal correspondence. In Arabic script. The writer refers to himself as "al-mamlūk"; the script is chancery-esque. Fragment (upper left piece). Twice mentions Khiḍr b. ʿImrān. Seems to recount some sort of procedure involving the writing of documents/letters. On line five: على ما جرت به العادة. The dispute seems to be pertaining to watering (siqāyat), probably related to agriculture. Mentions khalīj, which could be referring to the Nile Delta. (AP/YU). Verso: Accounts in Arabic script and Greek/Coptic numerals.
