Description

State document, likely an order in response to a petition or report. Stating that it has been confirmed that Sharaf al-Dawla Mūsā violated and oppressed and interfered with somebody, so he should be summoned to "the gate" (al-bāb) "or somewhere else." The contnuation seems to say that further investigation will clarify the matter and further instructions will be issued or obtained. In the upper margin there is a line preserved in a different hand which mentions Akhmīm and the government position of mulāzim. The document was cut in half vertically and glued together end-to-end to create an elongated blank verso. The Hebrew side (but not the Arabic side) is a join with T-S AS 129.149 + T-S Ar.39.280 + T-S AS 116.11 + T-S NS 137.20 + T-S NS 207.44 + AIU I.C.73 + T-S NS 238.99 + T-S NS 244.84.
