Description

Legal testimony. Marriage permit. Location: Cairo. Dated: 1 Tevet 1500 Seleucid = 23 December 1188 CE, under the authority of the Gaʾon Sar Shalom ha-Levi. Witnesses: Shelomo b. Zakkay and Netanʾel b. Yosef ha-Kohen. The witnesses attest that there is no relationship that would prohibit the marriage of Abū Naṣr b. Mevorakh ("Sar ha-Bina Modaʿ ha-Tevuna") and Sitt al-Khāṣṣa bt. Abū l-Maʿālī b. Mevorakh b. Yaḥyā ("ha-Sar ha-Nikhbad Peʾer ha-Yeshiva").
