Description

Accounts in Arabic dated June/July 1824 (Dhū l-Qaʿda 1239). Alexandria is mentioned in the second line of the heading as well the "Jewish ṣarrāf of the treasury of the silk looms in the aforementioned port", Mūsa Naʿīm. Unlike other documents mentioning Mūsa Naʿīm, this one is officiated/signed by Fārūq M__ī(?) rather than the overseer ʿUmr Agha. Requires further examination. MCD
