Letter: Moss. II,193

Letter Moss. II,193

Verso: Letter in Arabic script. Missing only the first couple lines. The writer mentions exchanges of goods (ll.2–3); he has sent a dinar for someone's children to pay three months of rent (l. 3); the sad news of the boy's illness (ḍuʿf al-ṣaghīr, ll.4–5); and that he paid a visit (aftaqid) to the addressee's family in Būṣīr and they are in good health. It's not immediately clear whether the address on recto is for the Arabic letter or for the Judaeo-Arabic letter. Needs further examination. ASE.
