Description

List of accounts. The paleography supports a dating estimate of 16th- or 17th-century. At least two entries mention iron, the more detailed instance is in the first entry on the left side of the recto: עפרית חדיד מיזבי, possibly an iron downspout (=ميزاب?) in the shape of an ʿifrit (akin to the architectural function of gargoyles?). It is unclear if the final word מיזבי was intended as a modifier for "iron ʿifrit." Requires further examination. MCD.
