Description

Fragment of a deed of sale for one half of a sugar factory (al-Dār al-Sukkariyya) in Minyat Zifta. Dating: probably ca. 12th century. One of the boundaries of the property is another property held in partnership between "the son of the Rav" and a qāḍī. One of the parties is Abū l-Murajjā Sālim. Other neighboring properties are known by the names of the heirs of Ḥusayn b. Ibrāhīm al-Maʿarrī; and Sālim Ibn al-Ashqar.
