Description

Accounts in Judaeo-Arabic, possibly outstanding expenses related to the deceased Nissim Mosseri or "מרחום נסים מוצרי" (ll. 1-2r). This may be the same Nissim Mosseri mentioned in CUL Or.1080 4.32 (PGPID 19754), from 1829 CE, and BL OR 10578O.5 (PGPID 39555). The heading lists the deceased man's orphans "Mūsā/מוסה" and perhaps Yo[sef]. The dating of this document is probably Heshvan [5]603 AM based on what remains of the digit in the hundreds' place. The paleography supports this reading. The document is signed on the verso by Ḥayyīm Mosseri, who could be the grandfather of the orphans mentioned based on the patronymics in CUL Or.1080 4.32. MCD.
