Description

Recto: Letter fragment in which the writer complains that Abū Bishr al-Mushrif (the government supervisor) claims from him a payment which has already been paid. Also mentions Abū l-Riḍā and Abū l-Munā. Dating: likely 12th or 13th century. Verso: Jottings and accounts in Arabic script with Coptic numerals. A single word seems to be repeated in each entry (dafʿa?). (Information in part from Goitein's index card and CUDL.)
