Description

Two different state documents, in Arabic script, glued together to form one Hebrew literary document. Reused by the same Hebrew scribe as T-S NS 111.63 and many other documents. Needs examination. See also PGPID 23556. The first document seems to be an internal state correspondence, mentioning a state official by the name ʿUddat al-Dawla. Only five lines are preserved, and it also seems to mention the month of Ṣafar (خلون من صفر), probably indicating that a date was written on the document towards the end. The document was pruned from the right side before being reused. Fiscal jottings mentioning "صح" are on the left margins. The second document, glued inversely, is a Fatimid petition, preserving the raʾy clause in part, and a ḥamdala and taṣliya. The request seems to be the release of food provisions (qūt).
