  3. [...] the exalted, as the moon, established forever, an enduring witness in the sky. Selah. And the glory of our lord, crown of our head  
  4. [... the head of the] great [Academy/Court] of the land of Israel, may the) m(emory of a) p(ious) a(nd saintly man) b(e a blessing), this marriage contract was written: There came before us 
  5. [... and said] voluntarily and of his own choice, not being coerced, nor constrained, nor enticed, nor intoxicated 
  6. [“...] \\a former captive woman whom the Merciful has ransomed// [to be] to me wife and the mother of children, according to the law of Moses and Israel, in complete qiddushin. And I will serve, 
  7. [...] faithfully." And this bride listened to him (accepted his proposal) and willingly consented to be married to him and to serve,
  8. [...] in purity and cleanness. This bride received her betrothal gift (qiddushin) in the presence of the undersigned. And [the groom] undertook
