Mercantile letter. In Judaeo-Arabic. On parchment. Dating: 11th century. Refers to coming to Alexandria and staying on the Nile or at sea for 3 days. Refers to 'our colleagues the Maghribī' (aṣḥābnā al-maghāriba). Most of the content is too fragmentary to reconstruct. Various partial names are mentioned (Isḥāq, Abū l-Faraj, Yaʿqūb). On verso, there are greetings to a sister; to Ḥayyim and Hilāl; R. Mardūkh. Mentions Abū l-Faḍl b. Khalfa (potentially the same as in ENA NS 18.35 (PGPID 2441), Umm al-Khayr, and ʿAzrūn. There is a report on prices of commodities (pomegranate, barley, oil) and a brief mention of 'a great rain (or winter)'
