- Your slave Joseph
- kisses the ground before (your) ex(ellency), hono(r), gr(eatness), ho(liness), pre(cious),

- Yeshuʿa the great Dignitary among the Jews, may God his Rock protect him
- and be his succor, and informs you
- that your slave is being killed by the cold
- and by hunger. Your slave cannot face asking
- anything from anyone. Your slave's request
- from our merciful and charitable master is for
- help with money for a robe. You will earn a
