  1. The elder Abu'l-Baya'n, (may his) R(ock) p(reserve him), sold through me the small [treatise on the] Art [of medicine] to the elder

  2. Fad'l Alla'h son of the teacher Abu'l-Faraj during the first decade of the month of Tammuz, on the fixed date,

  3. for eleven dirhems. He collected ten and I one dirhem. Solomon wrote this.

  4. The above mentioned elder Abu'l-Bayan, (may his) R(ock) p(reserve him), sold me one Ba'ba' Qa'ma' for which he collected its price

  5. from me - seven dirhems - on the above mentioned date. And peace.

  1. The elder Abu'l-Bajan sold The Guide through me to the scholarly patron, (may his) R(ock) p(reserve him),

  2. for thirty-two dirhems. Of these he got thirty and I collected two as agent's fees.

  3. That was on Monday, the sixteenth of Tammu'z, 1540, Seleucid Era.

  4. Solomon, son of R. Elijah, (may he come to a) g(ood) e(nd), wrote this.
