الوصف

Marriage contract. Location: Tiberias (here called Tiberias Colonia / טיבריא קלוניא). Dated: Thursday, 12 Sivan [4]795 AM = 22 May 1035 CE. Groom: Yiṣḥaq b. Avraham. Bride: Nāʿima bt. Moshe. The groom may be identical with the Yiṣḥāq b. Avraham who signed Moss. VII,34 (PGPID 6953) in Tiberias in 1051 CE. (Information from Friedman's edition.) NB: Friedman refers to this document as Bodl. MS heb. c 13/10.

  4. [... fore]ver(?). "I, Isaac b. m(aster) Abraham (whose) s(oul is at)  r(est), declare, intentionally, willingly, and of [my own]
  5. [choic]e, not being coerced, nor vexed, nor distressed, nor constrained, nor forced, nor enticed, [nor intoxicated, but rather]
  6. [wholeheartedly and with full senses, I desire to marry th[is] lady Nāʿima, who is single, daughter of [master Moses, the ḥazzan.]
  7. [And I s]hall nourish, provide for, clothe, esteem, and hono[r her in] the manner of Jewish men [who nourish,]
