الوصف

Fragment with several different text blocks. The upper part of recto reads like a riddle and/or utterances in the mouth of God. The bottom part of recto is in a different hand (that of Hillel b. ʿEli?). It seems like a Hebrew fakhr (boast) poem. The speaker compares himself favorably to Galen, Hippocrates, and Plato. Verso contains two more poems. At the bottom of verso there is a jotting with documentary value: "I borrowed from our rabbi ʿEli the w[ise] and the en[lightened] Kitāb al-Faṣīḥ [presumably the work by Thaʿlab] and a commentary on [...] by our rabbi [...]."
