Love poem related to the seventh-century Arabian cycle of Jamīl and Buthayna. The poem is written in verse form on both sides and begins with a basmala and an introduction: "Jamīl narrates that he is a dead person if he nears the house of Buthayna, he couldn't control himself [because of the separation] and hence penned these verses". The first verse is "كتب المحب الى المحب رسالة * يبكي لها القاري ويبكي الكاتب". The first hemstitch of the verse "كتب المحب الى المحب رسالة" resembles the first hemstitch from the poetry of the Abbasid poet al-ʿAbbās b. al-Aḥnaf.
