Mercantile account in Arabic script and Greek/Coptic numerals. Dating: Likely ca. 12th century, potentially related to the India Book documents. Neatly written and well preserved. Written on a long vertical strip. Detailing the proceeds from a number of bales of lac and pepper, both "that which I collected myself, and that which I collected from the agent (wakīl)" (ثبت ما حصل في يدي من ثمن الاعدال جميعها مما هو قبض بيدي وما قبضته من الوكيل من ذلك . . .). It continues: "on the elder Bū Zikrī (= Abū Zikrī Kohen?), two bales of lac, the entirety of their proceeds after the musāmaḥa was [...]; also at his hand, two bales of pepper [...] Yaʿqūb b. Hilāl; and possibly a partnership (bi-khulṭa). The next entry refers to "that which I sold in the Dār": eleven bales of lac and three bales of pepper The next entry refers to "eighteen bales of lac and pepper," then "and also at the hand of the Dār" (bi-yad al-dār) five bales of lac and five of pepper "in partnership" (bi-khulṭa). The bottom of the page lists the final totals, then possibly "expenditures from that" (kharaja min dhālika...), then it is torn off or may have continued on a separate page.
