الوصف

Fragment from the opening of a document, either a letter or legal document. All that remains is formulaic praises for the Nagid Yehosef. A prior PGP description stated that this was doubtless the Nagid Yehosef (d. 1066), the son of the Nagid Shemuel b. Nagrela of Muslim Spain. However, 11th-century Geniza documents relating to Spain are rare, while there are several similar documents with similar formulae from 15th-century Egypt when at least one Nagid Yehosef served, e.g., T-S 12.815 (PGPID 1699) and JCC Unnumbered (PGPID 40666).
