الوصف

Three fragments of a letter probably from the physician Abū Zikrī b. Eliyyahu (ca. late 12th and early 13th century). In Judaeo-Arabic. Faded. Compare T-S 24.72 (PGPID 1811). Mentions the sulṭān numerous times and at one point specifies al-Malik al-ʿAzīz. The sender had requested that the sulṭān's teacher (al-muʿallim alladhī lil-sulṭān) keep him apprised of something. In the margin mentions ʿAzīz al-Dawla. On verso mentions someone by the name of אלכין (cf. T-S 24.72 in two places). In the margin mentions "this kohl" and the sulṭān again. T-S AS 148.162v mentions Bet Guvrin (בית גברין), cf. T-S 13J7.18 (PGPID 7978). T-S AS 148.163r mentions "mawlānā al-wālid," probably greetings to Eliyyahu. ASE
