الوصف
Deed of acknowledgment (iqrār). Nearly completely preserved. In Arabic. Dated: 16 Dhū l-Qaʿda 537 AH = 2 June 1143 CE. The declaration is made by two Jewish men, Saʿīd b. Manṣūr and Bū l-Ḥasan b. Ibrāhīm, who live in the city of Akhmīm. It seems that they owe a debt of 80 dinars ("al-naqd al-Ḥāfiẓī al-Miṣrī...") to another Jewish man, Abū l-Ḥasan b. Pinḥas ("Finḥās"). There are two addenda on verso; the lower is a declaration by the creditor. Needs further examination.
