Description / Bio

Enslaved woman mentioned in a legal document as a "black waṣīfa of the Nubian type (jins)," among a list of bequests from a father to his sons, ca. 1238–1248 CE. The word(s) preceding this description of the enslaved woman are badly effaced but possibly reference her name, l. 12 of T-S10J6.7r (PGPID 3046).
