Description / Bio

Enslaved woman mentioned in two bills of sale for the same transaction, one of which is a draft. Tawfīq was sold by Ṣedaqa b. Moshe ha-Levi to the buyer Yosef b. Shelomo. (Information from PGP and Craig Perry, Slavery and the Jews of Medieval Egypt, Appendix 1, no. 102)
