Description / Bio

Abyssinian enslaved minor (ghulām ḥabashī dūn al-bulūgh), Muqbil was sold on June 13 1152 CE by Abū l-Faraj Yeshuʿa b. Mevasser Ibn al-ʿAnī to the buyer Moshe b. ʿIwāḍ b. Moshe Ibn al-Riqāʿī. (Information from PGP and Craig Perry, Slavery and the Jews of Medieval Egypt, Appendix 1, no. 58)
